Shower of Gifts by Mom
Well, the big (pre-birth) day finally arrived. Jill and Kelly did a beautiful job of hosting my baby shower at Jill’s gorgeous home on Sunday. I can’t thank them enough for all the hard work they did (in between parenting their own two children, work, school etc.) They are amazing women and great friends!
I can’t believe how much STUFF we got…especially the clothes. It seems everyone loves shopping for baby clothes (and I can’t really blame them as some of the stuff is just too cute for words). In addition to the well-stocked (mostly yellow) wardrobe we also received many of the very neccessary items: car seat, stroller, sling, diaper genie, baby monitor, bathtub, healthcare items etc.
All in all, the best part was seeing my family members (mom’s side) who I never see anymore and feeling all the love and generosity from both friends and family. And I’ve never received so many compliments in my life! If I really am as beautiful pregnant as everyone says then maybe I should consider birthing a baseball team. (Just kidding, John!)
Now…I just have to find the space to put all the baby’s things away. Right now they are all crowded into the dining room making it impossible for John to reach his computer.

Thanks! And yes, we cleaned up the living room last weekend. His computer is now free and clear of clutter (which is more than I can say for the rest of the house!)
