A friend (and former landlord), Randy Scott, has published the first book in his Chronicles of Wizard World series, "Charlie Watson and the Golundrus Cube". He wanted a fun website to not only inform people of the book and how to buy it, but also of the fantasy world contained within.
Using the scan of a pencil sketch, I traced the Wizard World map (left) in Inkscape, an open-source vector drawing program. From that, I made a dual menu. Locations on the map link to sections of the website proper, but clicking on the "Explore Wizard World" (bottom left) link turns on an alternate view, where clicking on the map brings up a description of that part of the fantasy world.
